Looking back on these, I’m not thrilled with any of them. There are plenty of places I shot during my stint building the Nooklyn Neighborhood Guides where the images did the job well enough - show the space, show the food - but there wasn’t much happening in the way of art. Sometimes I just wanted to grab some lunch and hang out with a friend, and not spend the whole time trying to make a great photo. These were also from the ‘bright photos do well on instagram’ phase that I am thrilled to be long past. I could re-edit them, but that would be disingenuous to the journey.
Of course, put me back in the same space with the same light now, and I’m sure I’d craft up something much better.
I do enjoy that I got the photo of the girl shooting her drink for the gram.
I originally posted this with just 4 photos before, but I decided to include the folks outside with the bikes cuz they’re all pretty fuckin’ ‘berg.
