Best Pizza

Williamsburg, Brooklyn, New York City

When it comes to a classic NYC cheese slice, you can hardly do better than Best Pizza. It’s still solid years later, and has changed very little over the years, just the way you’d hope.

A fun little note on the photography, since these are kinda personal:

I shot these in February 2016, very early in my time with Nooklyn. I would frequently roam around with Harley and crew eating and photographing. This time Moiz and my brother Dustin were along for the munching. I used this Tokina 16-28 because Serge Remelli recommended it. I think back on it’s golden accents fondly now. So I shot a lot of ultra-ultra wide images back then, which I could be ashamed of now, but it was a fun time of experimentation in my photographic career.

My task, as I saw it at the time, was the give an accurate representation of what these places were like inside, so that our neighborhood guide would be useful and accurate. In later years I’d be more likely to bring some art to the representation, but a lot of the early images were just very wide all-encompasing shots of the interiors and some of the highlight dishes.

I could swear I’ve shot several more photos of this place in subsequent visits, but I’ll have to share those with you another time when I hunt them down.
