The best burritos and tacos I’ve ever had.

If I shot this today, I'd drag the shutter for a little bit of motion blur of the hustle & bustle, and maybe photoshop that tree out. The lights only half working does add an element of charm, though.

A trio of phenomenal tacos, and tasty Dos Equis to wash them down.

I mentioned La Taqueria in the last post, so let’s get into it:

This place changed my life.

Everyone has heard stories of the fabled “Mission Burrito”, which I did have the night before to Taqueria El Farolito. I understood the appeal, sure, a behemoth of a burrito to soak up your night of drinking… but the flavor just left so much to be desired.

Just look at all that salsa & crema. You just know they're going to be a juicy bite.

Enter La Taqueria.

No filler, no nonsense, all flavor. An explosion of delicious flavors and fresh ingredients.

Hombre was kind enough to hold up an in-process taco for me to photograph.

And so juicy and wet. Look at all that salsa and crema on these tacos. What an absolute joy to dig into.

Interior vibe, complete with skylight. I love the glow the skylight brings to the little girl's hair in the center.

The burritos, similarly, were soaked in sauces and there wasn’t a single grain of rice taking away from it. It was in that moment I realized this is what I’ve been craving in a burrito all my life. No rice, no potatoes or french fries or whatever else places add to bulk it up - no, I want high quality proteins, rich and flavorful beans, fresh avocado, and a deluge of salsa and crema.

The burrito of all burritos, for my personal taste.

If I had only known at the time that I wasa about to have the best burrito of my life, I would have put a lot more intention into getting a great photo of it.

The neon sign says "The best tacos and burritos in the whole world" I'm inclined to believe them.
